The last few months seem to have filled with endless clouds and torrential rains. It rained 15 out of 16 summer weekends. It flooded again in the fall. The month of January came in fifth in total rainfall since 1905. When we moved from the Pacific Northwest where clouds and rain are typical, we enjoyed the frequent blue skies here. But recently I have remembered the grouch constant gray brings out in me!
Much to my surprise when I went out to the car this morning I spied a strange object in the sky. I took a photo to prove that I was not imagining things. It not only glowed, it seemed to reveal shades of blue near by. I am glad I kept the picture. Within an hour it had moved on, taking any tinge of blue with it.
Definite signs of better weather to come!

Apparently snow is on the way again. An interesting winter.

We’ve had snow, rain, mist, and sunshine all in the same day.

Sound like here. Mark Twain said of our weather ” if you don’t like it, wait a minute.”

We have had an unusually mild winter in Beetley and Norfolk generally, but not so much for the rest of England. Floods and storms have devastated other parts of the country, making me feel lucky we chose to live in the East.
Best wishes, Pete.

I have given up trying to predict what the day will bring. The seasons are all mixed up here.

It has been pretty grey here too!

Same here in California. A fairly good-sized tree on our property fell and blocked the road two nights ago. I just wrote the tree guy a $1500 check. Ouch!

As a kid the huge October 1961 storm leveled most of the neighborhood. All the dads took their chainsaws out and roamed the streets. I don’t think anyone ever thought of having someone else do it. Of course these guys had mostly been in WWll and knew there way around.

At this time of year weather talk centers around ice and snow. Yesterday the woman at the counter bubbled on about seeing the sun. Eagerly I joined her. It had been a gray month. A very gray month.

Where I live, we had a couple of foggy days, but have had very little snow or any other precipitation. There ought to be a way to even things out around the country! LOL

I guess snow is supposed to arrive next week. If so I will be amazed.

Yes, “What light through yonder window breaks?” The Beatles song comes to mind, “Here Comes the Sun”, and so does the children’s song, “Oh Mr. Sun.” The sun can work wonders for the soul and spirit, especially in the dull, gray winter months.
